KARLIN RUSHBROOKE

Karlin Rushbrooke is one of the UK's leading living glass artists and teachers.  He was born in Bromsgrove, just south of Birmingham, at the end of the second world war and opened his first studio in 1973.  As with many leading artists of the period, he supplemented his income by teaching,  initially in Stourbridge and then at Manchester Polytechnic.  He moved to Hereford in 1979 and taught glass at Bristol Polytechnic.  His work is much sort after,  The piece on the right is a rather beautiful scent bottle in rose and clear glass.
