Engraved goblet, Kosta

Stock Number: 2096

This is what we believe to be a large goblet designed by Vicke Lindstrand, manufactured by Kosta and dating from the mid 20th century, c1960.

Made in clear glass, the goblet is in excellent condition for its age.  This means, of course, that it shows some age related wear and tear, including light scratching to the base, commensurate with 60+ years of use. It has a "Kosta LH 1570" mark on the base.

The goblet measures 10 cm (4 inches) in diameter at its widest point and is 27 cm (10.8 inches) in height. It weighs 640 gms. It features stylsed grasses and flowers cut into the bowl of the glass which sits on a baluster stem and a cupped foot.  There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any evidence of restoration.
